The death of Pope Benedict XVI within a year is predicted in a ‘top-secret’ document published by the Italian daily Il Fatto Quotidiano.

The document is said to reveal a power struggle inside the Vatican and says that the Pope will die by November 2012 going into detail about the measures that are already under way to prepare his successor.
The Italian newspaper reports that the letter was delivered in early January to the Vatican Secretary of State and to the pope’s private secretary, by Cardinal Dar Castrill Hoyos of Colombia.
(The 73-year-old Cardinal Hoyos has been a Vatican diplomat for many years, but subscribes to the more conservative wing of the church).
Stamped “Strictly Confidential for the Holy Father” and written in German, the “mordkomplott”, (conspiracy to murder), opens describing the conversations that the archbishop of Palermo, Cardinal Paolo Romeo, allegedly had last November with Italian businessmen during a trip to Beijing, China.
“During his talks in China, Cardinal Romeo predicted the death of Pope Benedict XVI by November 2012.
“His remarks were expressed with such resolution that the writer thought, with a sense of alarm, that an attack on the Pope’s life was being plotted”, the document says.
The anonymous writer continues, “Cardinal Romeo could never have imagined that his indiscreet remarks would be communicated back to the Vatican by third parties.”
The document said that Cardinal Romeo harshly criticized Benedict XVI for concentrating too much on his public ceremonies and disregarding the daily business, leaving too much to the expertise of the Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, which was causing internal problems.
Cardinal Romeo also said that the Pope actually hated Tarcisio Bertone and would prefer to substitute him with another Cardinal, but there was no other suitable candidate.
The letter then predicted Pope Benedict’s imminent death, “As if he knew with certainty, Cardinal Romeo announced that the Holy Father has just 12 months of life left”.
The letter went on to say that Pope Benedict XVI was to have nominated Cardinal Angelo Scola, who was previous Patriarch of Venice and promoted as Archbishop of Milan by Benedict in June last year, as the next Pope.
The document said that Scola would be Preparing himself, slowly but inexorably, to become the next Pope.
A Vatican spokesman, father Federico Lombardi didn’t deny the existence of the document but dismissed it by saying that it appeared to be “Something that is so far from reality that I don’t even want to comment it”.
Il Fatto Quotidiano, said that the leaked document provided further evidence that a power struggle caused by corruption, poor management and greed is taking place inside the Vatican.
Any coincidence that as the Vatican opens its arms to alien creatures, the traditionalists plot to bump the Pope off?
No matter what your beliefs are, religion continues to be very big business on this planet.
Business equals money and violence is never far away from “big bucks”!
